Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH), a global engineering firm, partnered with a3 to oversee the relocation of its San Francisco facility to a new office in Oakland. The project started in the early days of COVID-19 and required a dedicated team effort to overcome challenges associated with the pandemic. The design was based on a pragmatic and flexible approach that responded to the needs of the staff while creating a collaborative environment to support talent recruitment and retention.  Together with the design team, we maintained the dramatic views of SF Bay in a hybrid work environment. Working with the client and leading the selection of the project team, a3 managed the entire process and delivered the workplace on time and on budget.
